The items on this page are general things to know when looking to hire a singer or a band, questions you might ask or we need to know about your event.

Questions and Answers

How long do you sing for?

A gig/event/occasion - Normally singers/band are required for 3 hours or more, depending on your event.

Each set of songs,  is 1 hour, and this is approximately 45 mins of singing add time in-between songs and any technical changes.

Special occasions include

     - Singing the national anthem or

      - a community event only needing 3 - 5 songs

       -weddings for particular time (walking down the isle or the reception)

       - Master of Ceremonies (MC) duties

The prices for events vary, as the importance and preparation is according to your request.

Are you a Band?

I am a solo singer but I usually perform with a guitarist and a 2nd vocalist.

For bigger events it is possible to include a pianist and more.

I sing covers (Songs from other artists), and different genres.

I am also a songwriter, and I have my own original music.

​

It all depends on what you are needing for your event.

What is karaoke style?

This is the system I use, it's simple for me to have my playlist all ready with music on my iPad.  Live instruments can still be played while using this feature, it makes things sound fuller and more enjoyable for you.

Is this how much it usually costs to hire musicians?

Hiring the entertainment surely gets put last on the list most of the time, and we will be with you from start to finish.  There is a lot of value in having music at your event, whether it's live band or a DJ..

I personally set my rate to the Australian standard rates, then add my experience and level.

​

Entertainment for an event can cost you between $500 - $2,500 + 

So always prepare for this to make your event a success.

What I need to know when hiring you?

Accommodation - for weddings and corporate events if you require extended sound checks it is recommended to provide a room at the venue for the band to rest.

​

Food - Performances are usually 3 hours long, so it's great to provide some sort of food or refreshment to keep the energy up.

​

Set up time - Most singers or bands need at least 30 mins to an hour before an even to set up or even a few hours before if they are providing their own sound systems. Pack down is about the same

​

Travel allowance - This is only if the hire is expected to travel more than 45 mins away
